Almuth Anders: A Position in Care Work
2.–6.6.2022

The video installation A position in care work highlights the complex of outsourced care work to care migrants in the 24-hour care of the elderly in Germany. Since more women are employed in the western industrialized countries, a global redistribution of care work is taking place. Care work itself is contradictory: meaningful and vital, it is at the same time exposed to significant exploitation.
